Overview
The Social Studies Department believes that all students should have the opportunities and resources to attain the historical knowledge, cultural literacy, and citizenship competencies necessary to becoming responsible, participating members of our democracy. The department believes that the ability to research, to question, and to evaluate issues of the past and present are invaluable in determining the future.
Mission
The mission of the Social Studies Departmetn is to educate its students in the areas of history and social sciences in preparation for a life of responsibility, integrity and service. We acnowledge the importance of connecting the classroom experiences of our students with the life they will lead in the future.
