We invite you to become part of the amazing story of a small school in a small state that has big dreams. For over 175 years, Burr and Burton has provided an exceptional education to the community’s secondary school students, adapting as needed to the demands of our ever-changing world. Founded by a bequest from Joseph Burr in 1828, Burr and Burton continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of successive generations of alumni, parents and friends.
Burr and Burton offers several ways to support today’s students and provide a solid foundation for the future.
An annual fund fills the gap between tuition dollars received and the actual cost of running the school. Burr and Burton depends on the Annual Giving Campaign to maintain the high quality of the education it provides every day to its students.
A capital campaign focuses on a major project such as improving or renovating a facility, adding on to an existing building, or building a new structure. The Campaign for Burr and Burton resulted in significant facility improvements in the last four years.
Gifts to the endowment are an investment in our students and their future. They are especially powerful because they are invested as part of a permanent fund that continues to grow year after year.
Planned giving provides a remarkable opportunity to use long-term planning to realize your charitable goals in a way that benefits both you and Burr and Burton. You can help preserve the future of Burr and Burton by something as simple as naming the school as a beneficiary in your will to a more complex trust or annuity arrangement.
