Larson Hall

Larson Hall is the home of the Special Services Department which includes special education and the ACCESS Program. The building was originally St. Paul's Church, Manchester's first Roman Catholic Church, which was consecrated in 1896.

A gift from Sarah Given Larson, a great friend of Headmaster Al Henry in the 1960s, allowed the school to buy the church and renovate it for academic programs. After renovation work was completed, the former church became know as the Practical Arts Building. The name was changed in 2002 to Larson Hall, in honor of Mrs. Larson's generosity to the school.

The daughter of John LaPorte and Irene (Heinz) Given, longtime Manchester Village summer residents, and the granddaughter of H.J. Heinz, Mrs. Larson maintained a residence in Manchester for many years and was quietly generous to numerous community groups.
