Parent Association
The mission of the Burr and Burton Academy Parent Association is to strengthen the partnership between parents and the school through communication, education, fundraising activities, and advocacy.
All parents and guardians are members of the Burr and Burton Parent Association. We strive to have every adult involved in supporting Burr and Burton's goals through their participation in the Parent Association.
The Parent Association is comprised of an executive committee and three additional committees. The president and vice president preside over the executive committee. The chair and vice chair of each of the three committees are members of the executive committee. They are responsible for recruiting members to their committee.
Education and Communications Committee
The monthly Bullhorn (the parent newsletter), the annual student directory, and the school's website are three methods Burr and Burton uses to communicate with parents. The function of this committee is to enhance the communications between school and parents through informative programs for parents on issues relevant to adolescents and through timely information on special events. The Arts and Humanities Committee is a subcommittee of this committee, whose purpose is to promote the Arts and Humanities programs at Burr and Burton. Working with faculty members of the Arts and English departments, the committee will also provide support and planning for art, music and theater programs so students can integrate the arts into their daily lives, fostering a lifelong appreciate and participation in the arts
Advancement Committee
There is a gap between tuition and the actual per-pupil cost at Burr and Burton. A dedicated group of volunteers work hard every year raising funds to supplement this shortfall through the Annual Giving Campaign. This committee will support these efforts to help every student attending our school.
Annual Event Committee
An annual fundraising event will provide parents and friends with an opportunity for an entertaining evening while helping the school supplement its Annual Giving Campaign. This committee will organize an annual fund-raising event.

Booster Club
The Boosters have been successfully providing moral support and funds to enhance Burr and Burton's athletic program for over twenty years.
Project Graduation
Parents of seniors have for many years hosted a graduation-night party for the graduating class that provides a safe and substance-free environment. They begin planning the party in the fall to give them time to solicit prizes and gifts from the local community.
Friends of Hockey
The sole purpose of this group is to raise funds for the ice-hockey program.
