Jim brings over 30 years of experience performing and teaching throughout the world. A proud member of NEA, AEA, SAG and AFTRA, Jim's professional credits include Broadway: CATS, the US premiere of RAGTIME, and the LA production of THE LION KING. Jim has appeared locally at The Weston Playhouse in A CHORUS LINE, MAN OF LAMANCHA and GUYS AND DOLLS and at The Fort Salem Theater, where he directed, choreographed and appeared in I DO, I DO, GEORGE M. COHAN TONIGHT!, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, and his one man show SONG AND DANCE, MAN! He received his BFA in Musical Theater from Emerson College and his MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College.
Jim’s acting classes allow students to investigate specific areas of study, such as acting, directing, writing, etc. Collaborating with Bill Muench’s Cinematography Classes, students can create short films, commercials, PSA’s, etc., many of which are nominated for The Gawlik Awards, BBA’s Film Awards Show. Jim works with Paul Molinelli to teach Technical Theater classes, allowing a “hands on, real life approach” to areas of design, set construction, painting, lighting and sound design.
Jim is found in the Riley Center at all hours, directing and overseeing extra curricular offerings that support actors, singers, dancers, writers, musicians, directors, designers, artists and technicians by uniting them in the experience of the process and ultimately in the performance of Plays, Musicals, New Works Projects, Showcases, Concerts and other community -ased performance opportunities. He helps the students to "run the show and offer the BBA Community, Manchester and other local towns thought provoking and entertaining theatrical experiences.”
