Bulldogs Don't Quit

With two outs in the 7th and down by 3 runs, Jack Catapano, the Bulldogs catcher, stepped up to the plate knowing the game was not over. With two strikes, Catapano ripped a single. His hit sparked a three-run comeback for BBA who tied Otter Valley 6-6 in regulation play. Following Catapano’s single, Aiden Konold and Ben French were both walked. Seb Dostal ripped a single that drove in Catapano. The tying runs came from a big two-RBI hit from first baseman Will Ameden. Catapano, Ameden, Dostal, and Tucker Hayner all had two hits. Konold, JT Wright, and Zane Klezos also had a hit for the Dogs. JT Wright started the game on the mound and threw four solid innings while allowing only a handful of hits and striking out seven. His performance was followed up by the pitching debut of Aiden McMahon, who threw two innings allowing zero hits and recording three strikeouts. Seb Dostal closed out the last inning by striking out two and allowing no runs to cross the plate. BBA travels to Rutland this Thursday for a rematch against their local rivals.
