The Belltower: September 2021 Alumni News

September 2021
Together Again
Tomorrow marks the official start of classes for the 2021-22 school year at Burr and Burton, and as is true every fall, much has changed and much remains the same.
This year, more than 775 students will walk the halls and paths of a campus that is both familiar and transformed, with the ACCESS program now housed in the Seminary Building, and Founders Hall nestled against the hillside leading to Mt. Equinox. Both are exciting because of how they bring people together—across programs, across classes, and across our community.
And we can’t wait to bring alumni together for Reunion Weekend on September 24-25! Come back to campus celebrate this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, cheer on today’s students, and reunite with old friends!
Remember that Class Notes are now featured in The VIEW Magazine—get your updates into the winter issue by emailing alumni@burrburt on.org

It’s Reunion Time!
Join us on campus Friday, September 24 and Saturday, September 25 for a double reunion, celebration the 0s and 5s AND 1s and 6s. AND, Bulldogs from any class year are encouraged to join the fun!

Founders Hall and the Future of Academics at Burr and Burton
By design, Founders Hall will shape the future of BBA academics.
A true Burr and Burton project from start to finish, the story of Founders Hall weaves together the relationships and the educational philosophy that have led us to this forward-thinking building that directly honors our history.  Read more about the confluence of changemakers, including one bold BBA alum, who brought us Founders Hall.
Five Things That Matter with Clem Wright '05
Clem Wright ’05 grew up in South Londonderry, a self-described “‘Over the Mountain’ kid.” He was one of four children who would go on to graduate from Burr and Burton Academy. After graduating in 2005, Clem went on to Harvard to earn a degree in English. After college, Clem worked at a malaria non-profit in Sierra Leone, then moved to San Francisco to work for Google. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Kathleen Chen, who writes for television.

Save the Date for the Fall Play: A Wrinkle in Time
Join us in the Riley Center for the Performing Arts on November 3, 4, 5, and 6 at 6:30 PM for the Burr and Burton Fall Play, A Wrinkle in Time.
Based on the classic sci-fi/fantasy book written by Madeleine L'Engle, winner of the 1963 Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award, and The Lewis Carroll Shelf Award, John Glore's play adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time follows heroine Meg Murry on an adventure through time and space with her younger brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin O'Keefe.
Tickets will go on sale in mid-October at bbatickets.com; shows regularly sell out, so get your tickets early and bring the whole family.
