French 3 Tells a Good Story

Michelle Emery
For the past 13 years, BBA French 3 students have written and illustrated children's stories as part of the curriculum, then visited Flood Brook and Maple Street schools to read them aloud to students taking French.

For the past 2 years we haven't been able to read the books in person, but today French 3 students read their children's books aloud to 4th graders at Maple Street. It was lovely to be connected again!

The BBA students have worked hard on their stories, which vary from a "choose your own adventure" about an alien cat, a boy who takes in stray animals, a squirrel who wins the acorn lottery, to a garlic who thinks he's an onion until a vampire explains otherwise.

The Maple Street students were attentive listeners, the sun was shining, and a good time was had by all.
