BBA Dance Company Performance in Outdoor Eco-Arts Show

Southern Vermont Arts Center
The BBA Dance Company will be performing alongside the Artichoke Dance Company in the sculpture garden at the SVAC as part of the exhibition Our Tangled Choices.  The Artichoke Dance company describes the innovative performance: Company dancers, alongside Burr and Burton Academy student dancers, will respond to the beauty of SVAC’s natural surroundings and sculptures, including Pat Musick’s The Gatekeepers. The performers will dance with fetish jugs made out of single-use plastics by artist Michelle Lougee and several community members. More of Musick’s and Lougee’s work will be on view in the Wilson Museum. For over 10 years, founder and artistic director Lynn Neuman has cultivated groundbreaking dance work that entertains, educates, and empowers audiences to become more environmentally conscious. Click HERE to learn more about Artichoke Dance. The performance will take place just inside the main gate in the lower section of the Stroup Family Sculpture Park. The performance will last about 45 minutes.  NOTE: there is an approximately .5 mile walk from the parking lot to the sculpture park. Please allocate time to park, walk, and get settled before the performance starts. Patrons with mobility issues, may park on the side of the road near the performance. We encourage attendees to bring their own chairs/blankets/towels for sitting on during the performance. SVAC can provide seating to patrons upon request. Please contact Alison Crites (acrites@svac.org) by Thursday, September 23 to request seating. IN CASE OF RAIN: the performance will move indoors to the Arkell Pavilion.
