OUR EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Burr and Burton Academy offers a vast array of educational opportunities, with over 170 rigorous and engaging courses guided by a knowledgeable and caring faculty. For more detailed descriptions of the courses available at Burr and Burton, peruse the Course of Study.

UNIQUE LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Each academic discipline provides a wide range of courses for students to explore on the main campus. In addition, students can opt to spend a semester at the Mountain Campus, take courses at the BBA-Dene Farm and greenhouse, enroll in courses for college credit, design their own independent study, investigate a possible career option through internships, partake in International Travel opportunities, explore an off-campus study experience, or spend part of the year at a winter ski academy. Students' transcripts reflect their unique pathway through high school when applying for post-secondary educational opportunities.

EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYONE

At Burr and Burton, learning also happens outside of the classroom; there are many opportunities for Burr and Burton students to enhance their high school experience through team sports, artistic performances and exhibits, leadership organizations, and school clubs. In any given school year, Burr and Burton faculty and students organize over thirty clubs. Many are started by students, based on a particular area of interest; the student council offers funding grants to help sponsor extracurricular clubs.
