“We are committed to serve each and every young person in this educational community, and we rely on the generosity of this community in order to make that happen.” - Headmaster Mark Tashjian
Giving touches every aspect of Burr and Burton, from immediate programmatic funding to capital projects and endowment, to the benefit of the entire community we are privileged to serve. Our donors’ generosity makes the difference between a good education and an exceptional one.
Annual Giving
Every year, the BBA Annual Giving campaign aims to raise at least $1M to provide programmatic support across our campus. These dollars, which come in gifts of all sizes and from all parts of our community, enable Burr and Burton to provide an exceptional experience for every student through:
Academics
Athletics
The Arts
Experiential learning programs at the Mountain Campus and the Dene Farm
Every building at BBA has been paid for with philanthropy.
From the iconic Seminary Building and E.H. Henry Gym to the Smith Center and the soon-to-be Founders Hall, the generous support of donors has continually transformed Burr and Burton’s campus. We are incredibly fortunate to be able to blend the old with the new, honoring our past, building our future, and using our spaces to facilitate the very best in educational thinking.

Endowment
Endowment is a powerful tool to support long-term financial stability and to ensure opportunities for generations to come. Burr and Burton’s endowment contains unrestricted funds, as well as funds restricted to programs, faculty support, and scholarships awarded to graduating seniors.
Gifts of any size may be added to existing endowed funds. New funds may be created with a minimum gift of $25,000.

Legacy Giving
Planned giving has had a tremendous impact on Burr and Burton, and today’s diverse giving vehicles provide opportunities to leave a lasting legacy at any scale.
