Bulldog Leadership Summit

Smith Center - 107 - 107
Vermont State Representative Kathleen James - What's Your Story?
All are welcome. An ethical leader acts with integrity.  While integrity means being honest and having strong principles, it also means "being whole and undivided."  In other words, your words and actions line up -- they are integrated -- with your core values.  Participating students will be encouraged to think about their own life stories and most powerful experiences, to help identify the values that are most important to them. An emphasis will be placed on how to use those values to become a leader with true integrity.  Rep. Kathleen James represents Arlington, Manchester, Sandgate and Sunderland in the Vermont House of Representatives, where she serves on the Education Committee and on the leadership team of the Climate Solutions Caucus.  In 2019, she won the Rising Star award from Vermont Conservation Voters.  In 2021, she was accepted to two highly competitive programs: the Eastern Leaders Academy of the Council of State Governments, and the Emerging Leaders program of the Nation Conference of State Legislatures. Students Interested in participating should check their email for a reregistration link to this session.
