More Details:
Ultimate is a fun, fast-paced game that many have played informally or in gym classes. This camp is an opportunity to learn more about the skills and strategy of playing Ultimate competitively from BBA’s Ultimate coach, Tom von Allmen. We’ll practice both sport-specific and transferable skills and tactics, and we’ll discuss how competition, fairness, and fun work together in this sport. Great for first-time players, returners to the sport, or athletes of other sports looking for a way to build skills like quickness, field awareness, spacing, and stamina. Athletes must have cleats; soccer, lacrosse, football, etc., are fine, but no metal baseball cleats.

About Tom von Allmen:
BBA Ultimate Coach Tom von Allmen has played competitive ultimate since 2008. His Ultimate career started in 2008 in the Fall of his Freshman year at Dickinson College. He’s played in countless summer leagues and spent three years playing for the Albany, NY club team, with whom he traveled all over the East Coast to tournaments. As a coach, Tom has worked in Vermont since coming to BBA in 2015, and he spent one summer coaching overseas in Israel. His top priority as an Ultimate player and coach is understanding how the self-officiated aspect of the sport can create games that are highly respectful AND highly competitive.
