Team Detail

BBA @ Leland and Gray

Burr and Burton Academy Ultimate traveled to Leland and Gray and earned a hard-won 13-10 victory.

Standout performances came from Simon Vogel, who created three turns on hand-blocks alone. In Ultimate, a hand-block comes when the defender marking the thrower is able to tip or block the disc on the throw, resulting in an incompletion. It's a challenging play to make without fouling the thrower, and it's a testament to Vogel's recent adjustment in how he approaches marking.

The standout player of the day, however, was Aiden Francomb. From the deep position in BBA's zone defense, he created 10 turnovers, a team season high.

On Friday, BBA Ultimate will travel to Sharon Academy to close out the season against Sharon and Spaulding.
