BBA girls edge out MAU in a tie breaker to take second.

BENNINGTON, VT - Burr & Burton Academy's Cross Country Running Teams showed strong improvement at the high school cross country meet held on September 18, 2018 at Bennington's Willow Park.   The BBA girls team finished in second place overall, ahead of Mount Anthony Union (3rd), Rutland (4th), and Poultney (5th), but behind Brattleboro High School's girls team.   BBA freshman Liara Foley placed third overall on the 5K course, running a 21:35 time.   She was followed by BBA's Emma Tschaikowsky and Brennan Harris.   The BBA Boys team finished fourth overall, with Brattleboro High School boys team winning the meet.    BBA boys top finishers were Bailey DesRoberts, who finished in 21st place with a time of 21:43, followed by Brandon Perra and Joe Sogno.    Of special note at this week's race, BBA's Annmarie Mulkey was recognized by coaches from other teams for showing exceptionally good sportsmanship during the girls race.
