Disappointed but Determined

The Bulldogs met a formidable match Friday afternoon in the windswept fields of Champlain Valley. Using a direct, over the top or big-switch style of play, CVU found plenty of holes in the Bulldog defense. The Red Hawks also used the Applejack-sized field and their speed to their advantage. Senior goal keeper, Liam Day was more than equal to the barrage of shots and made 16 saves, many of them of the jaw-dropping variety. The Bulldogs return to the training ground on Labor Day to prepare for long-time rival Mill River away on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
