The 2019-2020 school year will be historic as we will break ground on The Rowland Project, a $20 million transformation of our campus.
The centerpiece of this project is Founders Hall, a 25,000 ft.² center for integrative studies that will bring together English, social studies, a STEAM lab/maker space, and an extraordinary central gathering space and library. It will be located behind the Seminary building, where the maintenance facility currently sits, and the parking lot will become a courtyard that provides a place to relax, connect and appreciate the beauty of our setting at the foot of Equinox Mountain.
Along with a central gathering area and an innovative “neighborhood“ approach to grouping learning spaces, the building will feature a third story space, the Belltower Room, that will feature a view over the Seminary belltower into the valley. The experience inside and outside the building will be extraordinary.
Groundbreaking will be in April 2020 with building completion planned for June 2021.The design process has been deeply collaborative, with input from students, faculty members, and others, and led by Kyle Murphy, BBA class of 2007, and ZGF Architects, an international design firm.
