Bulldogs Connect

Not only did the Bulldogs connect with the back of the net in their convincing win Wednesday afternoon in Clarendon, but they also connected with each other as 7 different players recorded assists on 8 goals. The team had difficulty adjusting to the turf conditions and did not score until the 24th minute when Will Fox struck from his striker position on a sweet through ball from Walker Brown. Niall Monahan, wearing his lucky # 9 jersey scored the first of his three goals on an assist from Will Fox to round out the first half scoring. Coach Mull switched to a 4-1-4-1 formation to begin the second half and the team responded by pouring in 4 goals in 13 minutes. The defense , organized y center backs Luke Lehman and Duncan Chamberlain shut down Mill River scoring machine Tyler Corey and Liam Day kept a clean sheet with 4 saves. Other goals were scored by Jake Giering, River DeFelice, and Jayden Bloom. Assists were rounded out by Mal Rukat, Elijah Samuelson, and Johnny Miceli. Outside backs Judd Gourley and Declan Sullivan received special props from defensive coaches Brenton Pinkus and Geoff Chamberlain.
