Great effort and resilience

The JV Boys Green team played with great effort and resilience yesterday as we battled a scrappy Brattleboro team. The "Iron Curtain" of defense (Kava Kraft, Charlie Levene, Will Clark, Blake Allen, Max Borhek, Kyle Southworth) had another great game limiting Brattleboro's shots on goal and helping Ryan Kleckowski keep a clean sheet in the first half. Dylan Skandera demonstrated tremendous effort and created an opportunity out of nothing at the end of the first half. We had one defensive lap at the start of the second half which allowed Brattleboro to get in behind our defense which led to a PK. However, we kept our heads up and supported each other and rebounded to score with some great midfield play by Aiden McMahon, Evan Hulett, Luke Chila, Landon Hekking and Max Bowdoin. Liam Francomb pressured their defensive backs and was able to find Eli White for our lone goal of the game. Sebastian Saunders and Nate Stark created some more scoring opportunities for us right until the final whistle.
