Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you and your family well. As we prepare for the start of school, there are some important details that you should be aware of.

Dropping off and picking up your student(s):
Beginning on the first day of school, we ask that your student(s) be dropped off and picked up in the lower circle before and after school. Please do not use the upper circle or the senior and faculty parking lot to drop off your student(s). Between faculty and student vehicles and buses, there is too much traffic in those lots to add additional vehicles to those areas. The upper circle is reserved for parents and small buses to safely drop off students in our Access program.

For those new to BBA, navigating drop-off and pick-up can be tricky, especially if you are running behind schedule. Here are some suggestions to ease the potential stress of dropoff and pickup. Please know that safety is always our number one priority.
  1. With classes starting at 8:15 am, I would encourage you to drop off your student(s) by 8:00 am at the latest. If you arrive later than that you may find yourself in a long line of traffic on Seminary Avenue.
  2. Afternoon pickup can be equally challenging. Again, we ask that pickup take place in the lower circle. To accommodate as many cars as possible, please form three lines of one-way traffic in the circle. Our maintenance team will be there to assist you. If you are one of the lucky ones to get to the circle early, please encourage your student(s) to not delay getting to your vehicle. If you are one of the first cars in the circle and your student is delayed, it can potentially back up the entire pickup process.
  3. Another option is to delay picking up your student or have your student(s) walk down Seminary Avenue and get picked up on Franklin Road. Note: As mentioned above, please do not park in the faculty parking lot adjacent to Larson Hall. All buses enter the school via this lot and need all the space they can get to navigate the parking lot.
  4. If you live close to school, encourage your student(s) to walk.
  5. Whenever possible, carpool with other student drivers/families.
If your student drives, they will be receiving information on how to obtain a parking permit in the near future. Student drivers should also try to get to school early to avoid parking lot congestion.

Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions and/or concerns.

Sincerely,

Anthony Cirelli,
Dean of Students
