Hollow. The place is peaceful and picturesque, yet famous for strange tales and lingering superstitions among its residents.

This imaginative adaptation by Hans and Peter Bloedsel stays true to the world that Irving creates in this American gothic tale, but adds a lyrical quality that further enhances the humor, the magic, and the terror.
