Civics In Action: Join the Close Up Trip to Washington, D.C. in March!
This curricular trip offers an immersive experience in civics education. Discover how your voice can make an impact on American democracy. Applications for travel grants are active and due by October 2nd.
Since 1971, more than one million students and educators have participated in Close Up programs. Join us to make lasting memories as you interact with the people, places, and institutions that shape our nation, and discover how your voice can make an impact on American democracy.
The trip runs during the school week, from March 14-19th. The cost of the trip is $2,255.00. The trip is open to students in grades 10-12.
BBA knows that these experiences are important, and we know that travel is expensive. The school is fortunate to offer support to students through the Rowland Student Life and Learning Fund. There are also scholarships available for Vermont students through the Close Up program. Applications for travel grants are active and due by October 2nd to Jamaica Kaercher in the Headmaster's office.
To start the sign-up process, email Jillian Joyce (jjoyce@burrburton.org) with contact information for both the student and parent/guardian. Contact information should include a phone number and email address.
