BBA Speech and Debate Team results from January 24th at Thetford Academy

On Saturday, Salwa Abdul Karim, J Lahue, Eveylin Martin, Jane McGlinn, Hudson Via, Pengju Sui, Philip Nichols from BBA braved the cold to compete in a debate tournament at Thetford Academy.  
This was the topic: The People’s Republic of China should substantially reduce its international extraction of natural resources.

Jane and Husdon came in first place in the novice bracket! Jane won First Speaker and Hudson was fourth! 

Philip and Pengju came in third in the novice bracket, and Pengju won third speaker! 

Evelyn and J placed third in the varsity bracket, and Evelyn won third speaker! 

All of our debaters should be proud of their participation in this tournament. BBA's Speech and Debate Team will debate next on February 7th and then in early March for a spot at the VT Debate State Championships!
