So Close....

Despite the score, the Bulldogs dominated this game. Brattleboro got their goal in the first 3 minutes and then had to hang on tight battling the dogs for the rest of the game. Even though the temperature was higher than normal and the team was missing three of their substitutes, the girls kept the ball in the offensive end most of the game. The midfield was powerful, continuously in possession of the ball, moving it from one side of the field to the other and the defense once again put a stop to any of Brattleboro's advances, mostly at the 50 yard line.. The offense too played tough battling a smart Brattleboro defense. The opponent knew we were a force to be reckoned with and made sure there were two defenders on every player in front of the goal. We have another chance to play them next week on the turf and I have a good feeling about it!
