Host an International Student!

Parents, we are writing to invite you to open your hearts and homes to a unique and enriching opportunity to host a 2025-2026 international student attending Burr and Burton Academy (BBA). For over 30 years, our community has welcomed students from across the globe, and the experience continues to be a source of growth, learning, and lasting friendships for both students and host families alike.

Each year, students from diverse cultures and countries choose to study at BBA for a semester or a full academic year. These young ambassadors bring with them new perspectives, traditions, and stories that greatly enrich our school and town.

The benefits of hosting are profound. Families often say that the experience opens their eyes to the world in new ways and strengthens their values of empathy, curiosity, and hospitality. At Burr and Burton Academy, the presence of international students creates a vibrant multicultural environment where all students can engage in global perspectives.

If you're interested or would like more information about what it means to host an international student, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Pia Nolan. I would be happy to answer any questions and share stories from past host families.

Thank you for helping us continue a tradition that celebrates learning, cultural exchange, and the spirit of community.
