Visit the Piece for Peace Art Exhibit at MCL

An opening reception for the traveling art exhibit entitled Piece for Peace showcases student's interpretations of "What Does Peace Mean to Me?"
Please come to the Manchester Community Library on Friday, January 9 from 5:00-7:00 to celebrate the beautiful artwork created by Burr and Burton Academy art students, as well as works by Long Trail School students.
Each student was given a 6" x 6" paper to illustrate their interpretation of "peace" using the art materials of their choosing. The results are quite impressive! This initiative is sponsored by CityArts, a non-profit art cooperative based in New York City. This show will be hanging for approximately one month before a juried selection of works will move on to a traveling exhibit which will go around the world promoting peace, as seen through the eyes of high school students.
Please stop by the Manchester Library on Rt. 7A to see this thought-provoking exhibition. Any questions please contact Anharad Llewelyn at allewelyn@burrburton.org.
