This was the Burr and Burton team that we saw at the beginning of the season and that we were missing in the last few games.
So many players stepped up in a big way in this game. Our defense started with a super game from Hannah Callen in goal. Efremia Geralis was back after being out for the last game and a half with an injury and she picked up the defense in a big way. Lola Herzog marked one of Rutland's top scorers and took away that threat and Sam Steveson had a clutch save on the goal line in the second half.
The midfielders distributed the ball well to both sides of the field with confidence and our forwards cut hard to every ball.
Our record is now 6-6.
Our next game is against St. Johnsbury at home on Saturday at 4:00.
