  • Development Coordinator

    Burr and Burton Academy seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to join our Advancement team and provide communications and event support starting July 1st. This full time, onsite position plays a key role in supporting a broad range of activities that drive the success of the Advancement Office, including marketing, event coordination, communications, and donor engagement.

    This role is perfect for someone who is highly organized, enjoys connecting with people, and is comfortable wearing many hats. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong interpersonal and digital skills, a creative mindset, and a good sense of humor.

    Job Description: Development Coordinator
    • Department: Advancement
    • Reports To: Director of Advancement
    • Status: Full-Time, 12-Month

    Position Overview
    The Development Coordinator is a dynamic, relationship-first professional who serves as the project manager, content creator, and experiential producer for Burr and Burton Academy’s annual fundraising campaigns and community events.

    Reporting directly to the Director of Advancement, this role is focused on driving growth in both donor participation and total dollars raised. By overseeing the full lifecycle of philanthropic appeals and major school events, this position builds deep, lasting connections with BBA’s current families and volunteer networks.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Campaign & Appeal Leadership: Strategize and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including Year-End and Giving Day initiatives.
    • Event Lifecycle Production: Deliver seamless, end-to-end logistics for major institutional events, including the Gala, Reunion, Holiday Party, and other donor appreciation events, ensuring high-quality guest experiences and donor stewardship.
    • Volunteer Engagement: Act as the staff liaison for parent and event volunteer networks.
    • Event Communications: Manage marketing and communications specifically tied to Advancement events and appeals, including promotional emails and print collateral.

    Qualifications & Skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficient in basic digital tools and platforms (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva)
    • Comfortable with social media platforms and basic content creation
    • A “people person” with a collaborative spirit
    • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative
    • Sense of humor require
  • Bus and Van Drivers

    Be part of the team that makes education possible. BBA is looking for bus drivers to help facilitate field trips, athletics events, and school travel. Pay is highly competitive, ranging from $23 to $29 per hour. We’re seeking both certified CDL and Type II drivers as well as those willing to be trained; we can help to provide training and licensing.   • Substitute Teachers

    Burr and Burton Academy seeks substitute teachers and paraeducators for all subjects, grades 9-12. Ideal candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree, demonstrate strong communication skills, be able to implement effective classroom management techniques, and enjoy working with adolescents.
