The expectation for all students, grades 9-12, is that they will read one of the books on the
Summer Reading List. The list contains an assortment of formats including graphic novels and audiobooks, a range of reading levels (Lexile information is included on the list), and a variety of genres. The list was created with student and faculty suggestions and input. The intent of the program is to nurture a love of reading and build community. New this year: AP Lit and Lang students will co-sponsor a book and help guide the discussion with faculty/staff during orientation week in the fall. Students should select their book and sign up for their
Summer Reading Discussion Group. Copies of the books will be available for purchase at Northshire Bookstore and will circulate through Manchester Community Library (MCL). All BBA Students regardless of where they live are eligible for an MCL library card. Ebooks and audiobooks are also available on the
Sora app. Students will select BBA as their school and use their BBA email to sign in.
