About Suzanne Mears: Suzanne is the head coach for the girls' varsity soccer program at Burr and Burton Academy. Mears played as a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Saint Michael’s College Women’s Soccer Team. Coach Mears joined the BBA community and soccer program in 2014. Since Coach Mears’ time at BBA, she has led the Varsity team to consecutive undefeated regular seasons and 7 D1 Marble Valley League Titles, and a D1 State Championship. In her first season, the lady bulldogs finished 14-0 in the regular season (15-1 overall) which was the first undefeated regular season since 1999 and the first ever as a D1 program. During Coach Mears’ second season, she led the bulldogs to another 14-0 perfect season, marking the program's first back-to-back undefeated regular seasons. The Lady Bulldogs went on to complete a 17-1 overall season record as they competed in the D1 State Championship game, which was the first as a D1 program. During this season the bulldogs were regionally ranked. Over the course of the last few seasons, Mears continues to lead the Lady Bulldogs to win seasons and ranking in the top of the State for D1 soccer.  In the 2016 season, Mears was named Marble Valley League Coach of the Year, Vermont Large School Coach of the Year, and Region 1- New England Coach of the Year.  Her passion and knowledge of the game will ensure a week well worth your while!
