Samantha Watson '96

Samantha (Eisenstein) Watson, '96, attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA where she earned a BA in Spanish and an MBA in Nonprofit Management. During her senior year, she was diagnosed with bone cancer and successfully treated in NYC; less than two years later, she was diagnosed with a secondary form of leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant. Shortly after, she created a national nonprofit organization called The Samfund (now part of Expect Miracles Foundation) to support young adults in their financial recovery from cancer. She has spent the past 20 years as a patient advocate and is nationally recognized as a thought leader in the fields of young adult cancer and financial toxicity. After living in the Boston area for many years, she recently returned to Manchester with her husband and two children and is loving it.
