BBA Students in DC For Close Up Program
Every year BBA students have the chance to experience Washington, DC and learn for a week through the Close Up program. Students meet Senators Sanders and Welch, Rep. Becca Balint, visit the Pentagon, and enjoy many of Washington’s best museums and monuments during a week of school in the nation's Capitol.
Close Up is a non-partisan civic education organization that has operated programs in DC for 50 years. BBA students learned about current policy, history, participated in a mock-Congress, and spent a day on Capitol Hill discussing issues they care about with our leaders. Students and families interested in the program for next year should reach out to social studies teacher Jillian Joyce (jjoyce@burrburton.org) to learn more and sign up!
